Unparalleled Image Quality
Aloka’s ongoing commitment to exceptional image quality has culminated in the development and release of the ProSound ALPHA 10 system. The ProSound ALPHA 10 combines several technological advancements for precise beam formation and significantly reduced side lobe artifact resulting in the reception of a nearly noise-free signal. This new digital front-end technology incorporates Aloka’s Compound Pulse Wave Generator producing an ideal transmission signal through highly precise on/off signal timing for significantly reduced signal noise.
Aloka’s HST and HST+ (Hemisperic Sound Technology) Smart Transducers add an additional layer of signal precision by focusing the transmission beam in both the array and elevation directions to produce the ideal beam shape. The ideal beam shape allows for uniform resolution in both the near and far fields of view, ultimately providing the user with an improved ability to differentiate anatomical structures in “hard to image” patients.
Image quality is further enhanced with MicroSpatial Compounding in which overlapping, micro-angled transmission beams “wrap around” the region of interest and automatically adjust based on focal point depth to provide the user with the best possible image. This technology allows the user to visualize difficult anatomy via improved contrast resolution and greater ability to differentiate tissue.
These advancements, in combination with our unparalleled 12-Bit Digital Beam Former technology, result in exceptional contrast resolution, superior spatial resolution, “truer” images resulting from less post processing, and unmatched visualization of subtle differences in tissue density.
Advanced Features
ALPHA 10 is designed to improve patient throughput by allowing the user to access Aloka’s unique Real-Time 4D in 3 Simple Steps. This intuitive Real Time 4D package includes simplified 3D measurements, 360 degrees of vertical and horizontal rotation, and a 1/2/4 way split screen for simultaneous display of a 4D image and up to three additional sections. The lightweight 4D abdominal transducer is designed to decrease procedure time by allowing the practitioner to utilize one transducer fornumerous imaging modes including 2D, M-Mode, and Color, Power and Spectral Doppler modes.
eFLOW is the newest tool in Aloka’s armament for the analysis of blood flow. This new technology provides the user with exceptional, high resolution, extremely sensitive detection of blood perfusion, and is ideal for the evaluation of superficial blood flow, renal and deep renal blood flow, fetal blood flow, umbilical cord flow, and blood flow to tumors as well as a number of additional applications.
